1) If you are booking in the android app, these are the steps you should follow
a) open confirmtkt app
b) Do a login with available options, select a route in which you would like to travel and click on search
c) Select train, class, quota and click on "book"
d) Enter irctc id, ignore it if it is already filled
e) Enter passenger details, and scroll down, there you can find an option "Free cancellation", in that select "pay no charges when ticket is canceled" option to avail this feature.
